William O'Brien State Park is located just 35 miles from the Twin Cities along the scenic St. Croix Riverway away. The park has 12 kilometers of slopes and classic 11 kilometers of ski-rays. Trails wind through forests and range from mild to severe. Snowshoeing is not allowed anywhere in the park except on groomed trails. Visitors can stop or at one of the naturalist programs throughout the year at the information center and for heating. Winter camping is also an option in this park.
